Fernando E. obtained his Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree Major in Painting at the University of the Philippines, Diliman (1999). He also enrolled basic photography at the same university at the College of Mass Communication for a semester (2000). He has been an active artist for almost ten years now and has done a series of one -person exhibit and group shows here and abroad.
In painting and drawings, the subjects of his art work vary from nude, lovers and subtle social commentaries.
He was once an art teacher at the Philippine High School for the Arts in 1995, a workshop teacher on book illustration in 2002 and of basic drawing in 2003 at the Ayala Museum.
He is also responsible for the illustrations of the former Miss. Australia Michelle Van Eimeren children?s book entitled ?Butterfly? which was launched in 2001.
He sometimes illustrates in local glossy magazine.
His recent exhibition in Alliance Francaise last February entitled ?Naked Series? is a collection of drawings of human figure in their nude pose capturing the basic element of light and shadow. In this series he uses charcoal, ink wash and acrylic on each piece.
